Record audience see Falun’s superb skill – 07.10.2017

A new Champions Cup record audience 2,470 spectators saw IBF Falun beat hosts 7-2 and advance to tomorrow’s final against Classic. Falun secured their victory in an impressive five-goal final period.

Twice SPV were able to tie the game up with Henri Myllymäki scoring after Alexander Galante Carlström’s opening goal and Mikko Kohonen repeating that after Rasmus Enström had put Falun ahead again.

The game stayed even through the second period with Falun killing two penalties but keeping most of the control. In the third they started scoring again with Alexander Galante Carlström’s shot sitting on the top shelf in the first shift already. After Jonas Adriansson’s 4-2 at 47.08 the goals started pouring in and SPV losing some of the sharpness they had been able to keep for two periods.

Alexander Galante Carlström was the top scorer of the semi-final with his hat-trick and an assist. Rasmus Enström recorded 2+2 with Falun’s first unit scoring six of the team’s seven goals.
